Aerial view of Cambridge with Charles River past Harvard University
Bring a little Cambridge and Boston home.
Metal Art Sign · 7 × 5 inches
At the end of a few errands, setting down your keys leaves a moment to notice the view near the door. Harvard's riverfront brings Weld Boathouse and Anderson Bridge into a shared Charles setting, joining a place for rowing with a route across the water.
This reach of the Charles brings together Harvard's riverfront buildings and crossings. Weld Boathouse dates to 1907 and Anderson Bridge to 1915. Their different roles, rowing and everyday passage, show how the river became part of the university landscape while remaining a shared boundary between Boston and Cambridge.
The Harvard reach connects two different river uses, rowing and passage, while keeping Boston and Cambridge within the same broader university landscape. Give the sign a place indoors where you can notice its picture during the day.
