APB-38 and APB-39 at Boston Navy Yard
Bring a little Charlestown home.
Square Magnet · 4 × 4 inches
Put the day's appointments where they are easy to find, with this magnet beside the notes. Two barracks ships, APB-38 and APB-39, are under construction beside Boston Navy Yard slips, making a paired shipbuilding scene the view's particular subject.
The source records a July 1945 construction of two barracks ships alongside waterfront slips. The yard's piers and buildings connect this particular view to Boston's history of shipbuilding, repair and harbor work. They preserve a working waterfront at the time of the source.
The pair of ships connects the yard's waterfront with a specific construction task, giving naval building work a documented local setting rather than an unnamed fleet view. Put it near a message you will check later, so the little view is there when you return to the kitchen.
