Apsley Rubber Company
Bring a little Hudson home.
Slate Desk Plaque · 11 × 7 inches
A desk holds the things you need for work; there can be room for a local picture beside them too. The Apsley Rubber Company panorama places Hudson's factory buildings among their neighbors, giving local industry a setting beyond the workplace itself.
A published 1911 postcard depicts the Apsley Rubber Company factory complex and the surrounding Hudson neighborhood. The panorama sets the workplace among nearby buildings. It records the scale and setting of local industry, while remaining a period illustrated view rather than a measured plan of the town.
Factory and neighborhood share this view, a way to connect Hudson's manufacturing story with the town that grew around its workplaces. Keep the plaque on the desk where its picture can be noticed between a page of work and the next task.
