Assabet Aqueduct
Bring a little Northborough home.
Matte Hardcover Journal · 150 lined pages · 5.71 × 8.07 inches
Set aside a few minutes for a list or some reading notes, with the journal open and a pen ready beside the book you have been reading. Northborough's masonry aqueduct and its reflected arches give the Assabet a piece of water infrastructure to notice beside the river itself.
An 1897 photograph records Northborough's masonry Assabet aqueduct and its water reflections. Preserved in the Massachusetts Archives' Metropolitan Water Works collection, the image documents water infrastructure. The arches belong to an aqueduct, giving this riverside landmark a different purpose from the valley's railway bridges.
The aqueduct connects the river landscape with water supply. Open it for reading notes, a list for the day or a thought to return to; the picture stays on the cover.
