Assabet River
Bring a little Hudson home.
Square Magnet · 4 × 4 inches
Between checking a list and leaving the kitchen, there is a moment to look at the small picture on the fridge. A low weir crosses the Assabet in Hudson, giving moving water and a modest river structure the center of this source view.
Daderot's December 2018 photograph shows a low weir on the Assabet River in Hudson. The exact dam name has not been established, so the view retains its river identity. Water and the low crossing structure give the image its particular setting without attaching an unsupported industrial history.
The weir keeps water and a low river structure together in Hudson's Assabet view, giving the town's river landscape a subject beyond its street buildings. It makes a small gift that can find a place beside an ordinary household list.
