Assabet River
Bring a little Concord home.
Slate Desk Plaque · 11 × 7 inches
A desk holds the things you need for work; there can be room for a local picture beside them too. Bare trees are reflected in the Assabet in Concord, with still water giving this stretch of river its own small details.
An 1899 photograph preserved by the Getty shows the Assabet River looking north in Concord. Bare trees are mirrored in the still water. The source records a river landscape rather than a named industrial building, giving the quieter reaches of the valley their own place in its history.
The river view makes room for Concord beyond its buildings, keeping a quieter part of the valley's landscape close to daily life. For a gift, the included stand gives this view a place on a desk without arranging space on the wall.
