Blanchard School — Uxbridge, Massachusetts Woven Blanket
Home Decor · Artwork / 60" × 50"
Home has a way of finding you in the smallest moments. A cool fall afternoon. A blanket across your lap. A familiar view of Blanchard School in Uxbridge. This Blanchard School blanket brings that feeling home.
The Blanchard School connects Uxbridge's educational history with the later reuse of a familiar local building. Its apartment operator identifies the original building as the North Uxbridge School and explains that it was later named for teacher and principal Virginia Blanchard. The former school was adapted for affordable housing, carrying a place of learning into another chapter of community life.
Maybe Uxbridge is where you grew up or where your family put down roots. Keep this 60″ × 50″ woven blanket on the couch, or give it to someone who would smile at the name. A familiar place, a little closer to home.
