Brigham Mill
Bring a little Northborough home.
Metal Art Sign · 7 × 5 inches
There is room for a picture on the wall you pass on the way to the kitchen or a favorite chair. Brigham Mill sits beside Howard Brook in Northborough, with the smaller waterway helping give this rustic workplace its particular setting.
The rustic Brigham Mill stood on Howard Brook, an Assabet tributary in Northborough. The historical photograph records the mill beside that smaller waterway. Brook and building belong together in this view, placing a particular local workplace within the valley's wider network of water and industry.
The mill and brook connect Northborough with the valley's tributaries, a useful reminder that local industrial landscapes extend beyond the main river. Hang it where there is room for a local view, with the story there to share when someone asks about the subject.
