Car Barn & Powerhouse
Bring a little Maynard home.
Corkwood Coaster Set · Four pieces · 3.75 × 3.75 inches
Keep the coasters where the family gathers for tea, so a small picture is part of the table along with the cups. Tracks curve toward the Maynard trolley bays, with a brick chimney behind them and the cars gathered at their working home.
Maynard's car barn and powerhouse appear in a postcard mailed in 1906. Curving tracks lead toward trolley cars in their bays, with a tall brick chimney behind. Together, those details show the buildings and equipment that supported the street railway beyond the cars people saw in town.
The car barn shows the facilities behind a streetcar journey, keeping Maynard's transport story attached to the people and equipment that supported it. Keep them ready for tea, or give the set for the next gathering around someone's table.
