Fisher’s Bridge
Bring a little Needham and Dover home.
Metal Art Sign · 7 × 5 inches
Give a wall near the desk a picture to return to during the day. Fisher's Bridge puts Centre Street and Central Avenue across the Charles, giving Dover and Needham a particular road connection at the water.
Needham's historic-resources inventory dates Fisher's Bridge to 1847. The Centre Street and Central Avenue crossing links Dover and Needham across the Charles. Its history belongs to the network of local roads that joined river communities, with later work on the crossing forming a separate part of that story.
The crossing links neighboring river communities through their local roads, keeping the Dover and Needham route as a specific part of the Charles landscape. Choose an indoor wall near the things you use each day, so the view is part of coming and going at home.
