Harry Parker Boathouse
Bring a little Brighton home.
Slate Desk Plaque · 11 × 7 inches
Between opening a book and making a few notes, a small display can give the eye somewhere else to go. The Harry Parker Boathouse gives Community Rowing a practical place beside the Charles, where the building's purpose is getting boats and rowers onto the water.
Community Rowing's Harry Parker Boathouse opened in 2008, designed by Anmahian Winton Architects. Its riverfront location serves the practical work of getting boats and rowers onto the Charles. The building adds a recent chapter to a river landscape with a much longer association with rowing and shared recreation.
The boathouse connects a recent architectural chapter with shared rowing on the river, keeping the building's working role within the broader Charles recreation landscape. Set it on a desk or shelf where you can notice the view.
