Zakim Bridge
Bring a little Boston home.
Unframed Matte Poster · 11 × 14 inches
Give the wall beside your reading space a picture with details to notice when you look up from a page. The Zakim Bridge's inverted Y towers and asymmetric lanes give the Charles crossing a distinctive modern shape, with transport infrastructure rising above the river.
The Zakim Bridge opened in stages, with eight lanes entering service in 2003 and the remaining two in 2005. Its inverted Y towers and asymmetric lane arrangement belong to the modern engineering of the Charles crossing. The bridge adds a distinctive recent chapter to Boston's riverfront transport history.
The bridge connects Boston's recent road engineering with the Charles, while its staged openings keep the project from being reduced to one completion date. Choose the size for your wall, then frame the view to suit the room.
