Eli Whitney School
Bring a little Westborough home.
Metal Art Sign · 7 × 5 inches
An indoor wall near the entryway or desk is somewhere you pass often, with time to notice the sign's picture between setting down your keys and the next task. The columned entrance of Westborough's Eli Whitney School gives a local place of education a recognizable face in this historical street view.
A postcard copyrighted in 1907 records Westborough's Eli Whitney School and its columned entrance. The building's facade gives the scene its identity. Preserved through a published view, it belongs to the town's educational history and the everyday places represented in this collection.
The school brings Westborough's educational history into daily surroundings, a named building to share with someone interested in the town's community places. Give the sign a place indoors where you can notice its picture during the day.
