Eliot Bridge

A glance at the fridge can take in more than the week's list. Eliot Bridge brings Cambridge and Boston together across the Charles, with road traffic, riverbank paths and water sharing this stretch of the basin.

Eliot Bridge was built in 1950, as recorded in Massachusetts transportation documentation. Its crossing joins the Cambridge and Boston banks of the Charles. The bridge forms part of the basin's twentieth-century road landscape, where traffic routes, riverbank paths and the open water meet within a relatively compact stretch.

The crossing connects twentieth-century road engineering with the wider river setting, keeping several ways of moving beside and across the Charles within one local view. Let it share the fridge with appointments and drawings, keeping the view in the middle of a well-used corner of home.
