Hotel Pemberton, Nantasket
Bring a little Hull home.
Slate Desk Plaque · 11 × 7 inches
A shelf beside your books can hold a small local view. Hotel Pemberton stands beside its tidal pool and water edge at Nantasket, giving Hull's waterfront recreation a particular building and shore setting.
Leon Abdalian photographed Hotel Pemberton at Nantasket on August 8, 1920. The grand hotel and the water's edge place recreation in a specific coastal setting. Hull's harbor plan connects the Pemberton Pier extensions with hotel, railway and boat transport, linking the scene to the routes that brought visitors to the shore.
The hotel connects Pemberton's visitor landscape with pier, railway and boat routes, keeping the means of reaching the shore alongside the place where people stayed. Make room beside the pen cup or books, keeping the small display within reach of an ordinary day's work at home.
