Houghton Memorial
Bring a little Littleton home.
Unframed Matte Poster · 11 × 14 inches
After the day's comings and goings, a few minutes at home can include looking a little more closely at the wall picture. Arched windows and a central entrance give the Houghton Memorial illustration a clear focus, with Littleton's named building framed by bare trees.
Littleton's Houghton Memorial Building appears in the frontispiece of the Historical Society's 1896 proceedings. The publication preserves a clear local landmark within the town's own historical record. This is a separate subject from the earlier Town Hall and library, keeping the two buildings' identities intact.
The Historical Society's proceedings preserved this Littleton building as a frontispiece, making the town's own published record part of the view's local connection. Give it space near a favorite chair, where there is time to look more closely at the picture.
