The Little Red Shop was built in the early 1840s by the Hopedale Community, and it was here that the Draper business began, growing into the world’s largest maker of textile looms. The shop was moved to its spot across from the great Draper factory in 1950–51 and became a museum. Restored and reopened in 2009, it is still the Little Red Shop Museum today.
