Millis Industrial Track Bridge
Bring a little Millis and Medfield home.
Slate Desk Plaque · 11 × 7 inches
A shelf beside your books can hold a small local view. The Millis Industrial Track bridge gives the Charles a timber railway crossing, with the branch route rather than a road at the center of the view.
The Charles River Rail Road was incorporated by a Massachusetts act in 1851, establishing the route history behind this branch. The source identifies the Millis Industrial Track river crossing in May 2017. That railway history belongs to the route; it does not date the pictured timber trestle to 1851.
The rail route connects Millis with the earlier Charles River Rail Road charter; that route history remains separate from the pictured trestle's unstated construction date. Set it beside your books, or give it as a local view that needs a shelf rather than wall space.
