New Bridge
Bring a little Acton home.
Corkwood Coaster Set · Four pieces · 3.75 × 3.75 inches
Keep the coasters where the family gathers for tea, so a small picture is part of the table along with the cups. South Acton's New Bridge puts a trolley route above railway tracks, bringing two ways of getting around into one small scene.
South Acton's New Bridge carried a trolley over railroad tracks. The postcard preserved by the Maynard Historical Society shows two kinds of transport sharing one village landscape. This is a road and trolley overpass; the water crossings elsewhere in the valley have their own stories.
The overpass offers a particular South Acton story about routes crossing, useful for someone who enjoys the working details of village transport. Use the set when friends come over, with a view under each drink and the local connection there to share.
