North Beacon Street Bridge
Bring a little Watertown and Brighton home.
Slate Desk Plaque · 11 × 7 inches
Set down the pen and take a moment to look up from the desk. North Beacon Street Bridge gives the Charles a named road crossing between the Watertown and Brighton setting, with the river route at the picture's center.
North Beacon Street Bridge was completed in 1917, according to the state basin assessment. A 1914 Massachusetts act had authorized its construction. Those dates mark different stages of the project, a crossing that became part of the road network joining communities along the Charles in the early twentieth century.
The crossing connects an authorized public project with its later completion, keeping the bridge's place in the early twentieth-century road network clear. For a gift, the included stand gives this view a place on a desk without arranging space on the wall.
