Olney Cook Artisan Shop — Mendon, Massachusetts Woven Blanket
Home Decor · Artwork / 60" × 50"
Home has a way of finding you in the smallest moments. A cold winter afternoon. A blanket by the window. A small clapboard shop on its stone foundation along a quiet Mendon road. This Olney Cook Artisan Shop blanket brings that feeling home.
Built by 1839 and probably by Olney Cook himself, this modest shop on Hartford Avenue East is a rare survivor of the small cottage workshops that came before big factories. The Town of Mendon acquired it in 2009 and restored its windows and roof in 2010, and in 2019 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Maybe Mendon is where you grew up or where your family put down roots. Keep this 60″ × 50″ woven blanket on the couch, or give it to someone who would smile at the name. A familiar place, a little closer to home.
