Commercial Wharf Street
Bring a little Boston home.
Metal Art Sign · 7 × 5 inches
There is room for a picture on the wall you pass on the way to the kitchen or a favorite chair. Partly renovated warehouse frontage meets Atlantic Avenue at Commercial Wharf Street, with the building's changing use visible in this Boston waterfront view.
The source records Partially renovated warehouse frontage in May 1973, documenting waterfront conversion. The view preserves a particular relationship between Boston Harbor and its shore. Water, buildings and routes form a record of local maritime life at the time of the source.
The frontage connects older warehouse fabric with waterfront conversion, keeping a particular stage of Commercial Wharf's change alongside the harbor's longer working history. Hang it where there is room for a local view, with the story there to share when someone asks about the subject.
