Public Library
Bring a little Marlborough home.
Square Magnet · 4 × 4 inches
Before leaving the kitchen, check the week's list and the note about your next appointment, with the magnet's little picture sharing that well-used spot on the fridge. Marlborough's Public Library brings a columned entrance, arched windows and broad steps into view, three details around a place for reading.
A postcard published in 1907 shows Marlborough's Public Library, with its columned entrance, arched windows and broad steps. The building's public face is the focus of the source. It preserves a place associated with reading and gathering within the town's early twentieth-century streetscape.
The library connects an everyday interest in books with Marlborough's civic landscape, giving its public entrance a place in someone's daily surroundings. Keep it beside the week's list, or give it as a small local detail for someone's kitchen.
