Public Library
Bring a little Marlborough home.
Metal Art Sign · 7 × 5 inches
An indoor wall near the entryway or desk is somewhere you pass often, with time to notice the sign's picture between setting down your keys and the next task. Marlborough's Public Library brings a columned entrance, arched windows and broad steps into view, three details around a place for reading.
A postcard published in 1907 shows Marlborough's Public Library, with its columned entrance, arched windows and broad steps. The building's public face is the focus of the source. It preserves a place associated with reading and gathering within the town's early twentieth-century streetscape.
The library connects an everyday interest in books with Marlborough's civic landscape, giving its public entrance a place in someone's daily surroundings. Give the sign a place indoors where you can notice its picture during the day.
