Shipways 2, Boston Navy Yard
Bring a little South Boston home.
Slate Desk Plaque · 11 × 7 inches
A desk holds the things you need for work; there can be room for a local picture beside them too. A crane, workers and slipway construction occupy the Shipways 2 scene at Boston Navy Yard, showing the making of a particular waterfront facility.
The navy record gives September 1941 completion; crane, construction workers and slipway works. The naval waterfront brought construction, maintenance and transport together beside the harbor. This particular view records the practical shore facilities that supported that work at the time of the source.
The shipway connects shipbuilding with the shore structure built to support it, keeping workers and equipment within the yard's recorded construction setting. Keep the plaque on the desk where its picture can be noticed between a page of work and the next task.
