State Armory
Bring a little Lawrence home.
Slate Desk Plaque · 11 × 7 inches
Between opening a book and making a few notes, a small display can give the eye somewhere else to go. Crenellated cylindrical towers give Lawrence's State Armory a distinctive profile, with masonry and the two rounded forms offering details to notice through the day.
Lawrence's State Armory appears in Art Works of Lawrence and Vicinity, published in 1893. Lawrence Public Library preserves the image through Digital Commonwealth. The named public building belongs to the city's civic landscape, with the historical source grounding this interpretation without implying institutional endorsement.
The armory's towers add a civic subject to Lawrence's illustrated history, keeping this public building alongside the city's workplaces in the regional record. Set it beside your books, or give it as a local view that needs a shelf rather than wall space.
