Stoller Boathouse
Bring a little Newton home.
Slate Desk Plaque · 11 × 7 inches
Keep a picture beside the day's work, somewhere you can see it without leaving the desk. Stoller Boathouse gives Lasell's river connection a named facility to notice, keeping a place for rowing beside the Charles rather than a general shoreline.
Lasell identifies Stoller Boathouse as one of its river facilities. The institution traces its River Day tradition to 1882, a date for the tradition rather than this building's construction. The view connects the Charles with a continuing local interest in rowing and gathering beside the water.
Lasell's River Day tradition connects this facility with an institutional interest in the water, without treating the tradition's date as the boathouse's construction date. For a gift, the included stand gives this view a place on a desk without arranging space on the wall.
