The Old Bridge
Bring a little Concord home.
Slate Desk Plaque · 11 × 7 inches
Between opening a book and making a few notes, a small display can give the eye somewhere else to go. Concord's North Bridge and its reflection put the crossing and water together, giving a familiar landmark a river setting to notice.
An early Detroit Publishing postcard shows Concord's historic North Bridge and its reflections on the Concord River. The location is downstream of the Assabet and Sudbury confluence. The river setting matters to the identity of this familiar bridge, preserved here through a period published view.
The Concord River location is part of the bridge's identity, making this a connection to a particular crossing and the waterways around it. It can sit among a few favorite books, giving the shelf a particular local subject as well as something to read.
