Commercial Wharf from Pier 3
Bring a little Boston home.
Ceramic Mug · White · 11 oz
While the kettle heats and the cup is set out, there is a little time to sit at the kitchen table and notice the picture waiting beside your hand. The stone edge, basin and wharf buildings lead toward Commercial Wharf from Pier 3, giving Boston's harborfront a particular viewpoint across the water.
The 1973 source records stone edge, harbor basin and wharf buildings, location given by photographer. The view preserves a particular relationship between Boston Harbor and its shore. Water, buildings and routes form a record of local maritime life at the time of the source.
The pier viewpoint connects Commercial Wharf's buildings with their harbor basin, keeping the water-facing relationship within Boston's changing waterfront record. Use it for the next cup at the table or by your desk.
