Commercial Wharf from Pier 3
Bring a little Boston home.
Metal Art Sign · 7 × 5 inches
There is room for a picture on the wall you pass on the way to the kitchen or a favorite chair. The stone edge, basin and wharf buildings lead toward Commercial Wharf from Pier 3, giving Boston's harborfront a particular viewpoint across the water.
The 1973 source records stone edge, harbor basin and wharf buildings, location given by photographer. The view preserves a particular relationship between Boston Harbor and its shore. Water, buildings and routes form a record of local maritime life at the time of the source.
The pier viewpoint connects Commercial Wharf's buildings with their harbor basin, keeping the water-facing relationship within Boston's changing waterfront record. Hang it where there is room for a local view, with the story there to share when someone asks about the subject.
