Commercial Wharf from Pier 4
Bring a little Boston home.
Corkwood Coaster Set · Four pieces · 3.75 × 3.75 inches
Keep the coasters where the family gathers for tea, so a small picture is part of the table along with the cups. Harbor water and industrial chimneys appear with Commercial Wharf from Pier 4, giving the shore architecture a working background across the basin.
The 1973 source records wharf, harbor water and industrial chimneys. The view preserves a particular relationship between Boston Harbor and its shore. Water, buildings and routes form a record of local maritime life at the time of the source.
The pier-to-wharf view connects Boston's warehouse waterfront with water and industry, keeping the surrounding harbor landscape attached to the buildings rather than showing them alone. The set can be a useful gift for the table at home, with the local subject part of the cups and conversation.
